"So, last Wednesday happened to be my birthday (eh, happened? Hahaha) I almost forgot about it, nasib baik bukak email ada this birthday email from one of the forums I joined LOL. Maybe timing dia awal 2,3 jam, that's why the email was sent out early. As usual, nothing special with a birthday. A birthday is just a way God telling you, this is how much time has passed since you came here to this world. Jadi, pada birthday aku yang lalu, buat aku diam dan refleksi apa yang aku dah kecapi setakat ini. Aku tak compare achievement aku dengan manusia lain sebab skrip kita berbeza bai. Different circumstances, environments. Tak boleh, tak boleh. Aku cuma buat short term and long term comparisons sahaja. Short term, aku compare diri aku sekarang dengan diri aku setahun, 2 tahun yang lalu. Beza yang nyata, sikit je - aku ringan sikit sekarang dibandingkan dengan 2 tahun, 1 tahun sudah. Hahaha. Tapi yang lain, sama je aku tengok. Mungkin sekarang aku boleh berbahasa Swahili, da...

Teachers are Hebak

Heyyooo~ long time no blogging. As cliche as it sounds, yeah was tied up with lotsa stuff. In case I must tell you and you must know, my bro Adib got married to his high school sweetheart in March and now that we are done with the reception on our side as well which was held end of April, all of us finally got the time to take a breather. Yeah, that would be nice. Blogging. Been itching to blog because everyday I go on the net, surfing, reading and joining the forums, I always got this amazing ideas to blog about. So, I got all hyped up, go to blogger, logged in, all set...and I just stared right at the screen. But if has finally come to an end tonight. Yep, tonight gotta start blogging again because I sure know someone misses it LOL Things are pretty good on my side. Just so you know, I am probably gonna start experiencing some good changes in my life (of course there will be some bad consequences but the changes about to happen are worth it) . You know how there's a saying th...

So I Heard

Something big is coming this weekend. This Saturday. Yeah, seriously. The soft launch of Ligno Biotech 's product at two pharmacies in Kajang! So these two stands will be displayed outside the two pharmacies. Can't wait for Saturday!!  So, this Saturday me and 2 of my colleagues, along with the L.I students will be at these two pharmacies - one in the town on Kajang, another somewhere in Bukit Mewah which I have no idea where it is. Will probably update about it more soon in case there are individuals interested with our products. =) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Last Sunday was a day of reunion. I met up with my long lost buddy Husseng, I mean Hussen hehehe. I went to watch the Non Chinese Basketball League games that Sunday morning. My friends Hussen and Raf play for the same team - Quakes while the captain of my high school basketball team Muaz plays for United Baller Shah Alam (? or so...

Food Trash Talk

Salam~ and peace be to y'all! I used to start my blog with that tagline long time ago, back when I blogged at Friendster's blog. Heh. Happy Saturday people. And tomorrow is Father's Day. To be honest, on Mother's and Father's Days  I only wish my parents, and I don't usually do any extra special thing. I prefer birthdays y'all~ I don't really have any particular reason why I don't go the extra mile for my parents on those days so it's not like I hate Father's and Mother's Days. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Read The Star online some time ago about Malaysians discarding almost 30 tonnes of food everyday and somehow I wasn't that shocked nor did I  *GASP 30 tonnes?* because I've seen it, we all have witnessed this, and some (or perhaps most of us?) do that. I mean, every time I go to Mamak, fastfoods, any restaurants or foodcourts, never have I seen p...

In His Face?

But the maestro felt nothing. According to Yahoo!News he said he didn't feel a thing and only realised that he was punched afterwards. Funny stuff. I wonder what's up with the school kid? Maybe he made a bet with his friends that he could punch Messi? Hahahaha. THen again, you would expect someone who has brilliant response like Messi to be able to dodge the punch. Nanja sora? Credit to The Star Online Read here and here So, I woke up early today. Looking forward to the weekend~just gonna rest at home. And clean up the unwanted stuffs. My housemate freaked out I guess because he asked me not to throw all the old stuffs for fear the previous tenants and my other housemate might look for it again in the future. Hahaha, my brother who has been here since Sunday, did all the clean up and he didn't throw out any junks. Fair enough if the stuffs belong to my other housemate whom I've met twice only. But the previous tenants? Come on man, if it were me, I wouldn...

Once Upon A Time, In Our Land

Like 13 years ago? Salam dua benua

It's Not Friday!

Woah! I thought I already posted something on my blog today. Must have got things confused with the dream I had this morning... This weekend has been great. I didn't go out to the mall or movies, I just stayed home, and rest. Hahahaah! I'm like a couch potato only that I didn't watch TV and eat junk foods - cleaning up my room, and my kitchen. I'm loving the fridge that's for sure. Though it would have been great, much better if there's an oven in the kitchen. I kinda miss the time I use the oven a lot. Totally not healthy meal. But not always. =P Being a cheapskate, I  used normal cheese, cut it into strips and lay the strips on top of the potato chips and sausages, put the plate in microwave oven. Hahahaha! XP Stir fried bok choy in oyster sauce. Totally awesome! (masuk bakul angkat sendiri =P) I made the Japanese curry again. This time too much carrots but the curry was nice!  But I can't explain why the curry looks so yellow in this photo.....

What Does It Mean To Be Alive?

To some, when they are on the verge of death. When every thing in the past starts to play back, like a movie being fast forwarded from the day they were born. I guess when thing is about to end, one only realizes that he has been a living a life and starts to regret the things that are left undone, or things done that shouldn't have been done. To be alive may as well mean that the feeling of regrets you have. To some, to be alive is to contribute something to mankind. ................................................................................................................................................................. I guess this is some sort of contribution too... Okay, I'm bored, uploading a video clip to YouTube now...still got 35 mins left. I will post it up here when it's on YouTube woot~ No, it's not my Vlog. Well..stay tuned! =P hehehehe

We Take Both - Good and Bad

"Ore, ore." Meaning, "Me, me." which means "It's me, it's me." Ore is Japanese for me, in a casual form, not so polite way because you are close to the person you're talking to. The same with Aku in Bahasa. Anyway, not gonna teach language here. Just wanna share about this scam I just got to know happening in Malaysia. Man...Thanks to Azrul Hisham for sharing and letting us all know and aware about it. Another thing to watch out for people. So, here how the scam works. You get a message from a number you don't have in your contact list, claiming to be your relatives - uncle, dad, brother, sister. The sender will then say, in the message, that he/she runs out of prepaid credit and is using his/her friend's handphone. Example taken from Azrul Hisham's blog - Ni p'cik guna kad orng, tolng isikan p'cik top up RM30 di number baru p'cik ni nom dia 0128105169,pasal p'cik ade kes di balai polis boleh tak cepat sikit b...

So Much For First Come First Serve

I remembered the time I did my enrollment for the coming semester's subjects. It was pretty much easy, I know what I should take to ensure that I completed my degree in time (it's a different thing if you keep failing your core subjects =P). I only met the course advisor once, and from then on I knew which subjects are the core ones, and electives. And I don't really remember having any difficulty registering the subjects I want to take. I wasn't really worried about not being able to take any subject I want because too many students already, since my campus is not as big as the main campus, Clayton. I remember there were only 12 first year biotech students then. Then in second year, few of my friends changed their majors mostly because they didn't want to do the killer subject - Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, affectionately =P known as MBB, which is a core unit for third year, final year student. The prerequisite subject for MBB is another low level molecul...

World Number One Is Still A Human

So I was watching the news on different channels. Yeah, I'd love to do that I just discovered that. Anyway, Buletin Utama's sports cast showed from the feedbacks they received on TV3's fb page, more than 90% are still rooting, supporting, and behind Datuk Lee Chong Wei. Then my housemate said he read a blog about Lee Chong Wei crying in the changing room after the match. That explained why he didn't meet the press last night. So, I thought of looking for the site, blog on that. Is it true? He cried before when he lost the World Game in KL. He was eliminated by Sony..I think?  =P 23/11/2010 Chong Wei menangis?

Music Video of The Week - That Okay Song

I got to know about this video on Youtube when I was blogwalking to Kecik's  . This is one catchy song, and somehow is what I feel sometimes about my beloved country Malaysia. Whenever I experience something bad here, I would start thinking back about the time I had in Gippsland. Then I would tell myself, hey, nothing is perfect here in this world, so suck it up and live for a better day, man. Hey that's okay, we gotta live for a better day~ What the hell is a "Micho" lah? Misai + Macho = Micho! LOL Got other cool song too, "I Am A Macha". Check it out! hehehehe

Layan Hindustan Sekali

If you say "hindustan" to Indians, they probably won't get you. Last time when I told my housemate (he's Indian) he didn't understand. Apparently they call it Hindi movies. Hahaha, here in Malaysia we call it Hindustan. Wei, layan Hindustan sekali! Something like that. Hehehe. Anyway, I'm watching Panggung Sabtu now on TV3. I thought it was about Bhagat Singh but looks like the story is more than just Bhagat Singh. Looks kinda interesting because you don't have all these dancings and songs too much. Hahaha. I watched two separate movie about Bhagat Singh, I remember it was really an inspiring movie. The last time I watched something like that is when I watched Leftenan Adnan. Many people probably won't agree with me on this but the scene where Leftenan Adnan was the only one left alone, charging towards the Japanese really left me with a feeling of awe. I wonder where one would get such courage to do that knowing, that acting that way means certain ...

Celcom Oh Celcom

I thought my handphone went cuckoo after the tex message I tried to send to my dad was rejected many time. I turned it off a, took out the battery, put it back, and turned the phone on again. I repeated this over and over again during lunch just now, being watched by my colleagues who were also enjoying the free lunch today. Really, really frustrated. Turned out it wasn't my dear friend, Sony Ericsson's fault. IT WAS CELCOM! My housemate Shafik told me a lot of people had problem sending messages, making calls just now too, and these people, they use celcom! What the heck Celcom? Back in Kerteh we always got problem with the reception. Whenever I talked to my bro Adib, he couldn't really catch what I was saying. Hmm well, that would probably be because of the way I talk. =P Chicken wings~ Fried satay, not grilled ones. Me and my man Derek made these dishes on our last day in Gippsland, 2007. =P Anyway, Celcom, keep yourself together man. I never hear DiGi, Max...

Identified Flying Objects

‘Flying’ screwdriver nearly hits housewife and kids at Penang flats GEORGE TOWN: First, a falling stone kills a man. Now, a “flying” screwdriver narrowly misses a housewife and two children. Just 48 hours after Koay Chin Chai died when he was hit by a palm-sized stone, Sharifah Mydin Kuppiy nearly met the same fate – this time in full view of several councillors and pressmen. The 27-year-old housewife was shocked to see that a screwdriver had cracked her car’s windscreen at the Jalan Sungai flats at about 2.45pm. Sharifah said if they had stood next to the windscreen, she and her brother’s two children could have been the next victims of a “flying” object. “We don’t want to be living in fear everyday,” she said, adding that a flower pot landed next to her while she was carrying a baby on Oct 19. Several pressmen, Penang Muni cipal Council (MPPP) councillors and council officers, who were scheduled to be there for a press conference over the falling stone tragedy, were shocked to witne...

Monorail In Sunway

When I did my internship in PJ, I stayed for over a month in Sunway. Yeah pretty far considering I took rapidkl bus or merobus to Asia Jaya then took LRT from Asia Jaya station to Taman Jaya station which is one stop away only =P Anyway, it was at that time I heard there a monorail project was proposed in Sunway. I didn't know the details, only that my friends said it will be connecting Sunway Pyramid, Sunway Medical Centre to the surrounding neighbourhood. And the project was still in early stage, hadn't been approved yet. ... .... I went to visit Tommy 3 weeks ago at Monash Sunway when I came down to KL for my two interviews as a Research Assistant and Blogger Liaison at Nuffnang. My initial plan was to stay at my cousin's place until Friday, and on Friday night stay at Tommy's place after watching his club's play - Hairspray. But something came up, I couldn't stay until Friday so I decided to meet up with him at Monash Sunway. I'd never been there ...

MRT? Sounds About Time

According to this uncle I met at Kemaman bus station where both of us and some other passengers were waiting for the bus to Larkin, Johor Bahru. The uncle is from Singapore, going back to Singapore. We talked about a lot of stuffs. He is an engineer and was in Terengganu for work. He took bus because he still didn't know his way around there but the next time he has to come he will be driving. I thought he would be all negative about Malaysia since he got conned (I think because nobody pays RM8 for 4 sticks of yong tau foo, bought from a stall, no?) but he praised Malaysia's road system. "You guys already have the flyovers when we Singapore still with our normal highways." Though he felt that the government should have invested in developing MRT instead of LRT as the population in KL is much bigger than that of Singapore. Well, I can't agree more with that. The proposed MRT lines. Damansara-Serdang, Kepong-Cheras and city circle lines. Cool, no? Lookin...

Form 5 Students Died Yesterday In Kerteh

Wah, direct to the point the title this time. No secret words or unfinished sentence. And there's not gonna be any long introduction before I get to the story too this time. Let's go straight to the story shall we? My mom told me about it this afternoon in the kitchen as I watched her frying the chicken to make ayam masak kicap. =P So, yesterday my mom's friend had a small kenduri, feast you may say, and her daughter (I assume) asked some of her friends to come over. And got some friends from Kemasik, form 5 students came to the kenduri too. Ha, ada peta lagi. A-Kerteh, B-Kemasik. Mesra Mall is located somewhere before Kemasik, after Rantau  Petronas. After some time, these 2 girls from Kemasik took their leaves and were on their way home, decided to go back to their place via Mesra Mall or they decided to take a detour to Mesra Mall. I don't remember. Anyways, they had to make a right turn at the intersection traffic light. When it turned green, these two girls...

Jangan Biarkan Hidup Diselubungi

*TIUUUUU* (bunyi tukar channel) "Why the heck you changed the channel? It was Zainal Ariffin for God's sake, the second machoest man in Malaysia after Jalaluddin Hassan!!" "I just don't like all this mystique stuff. So bogus man. You believe in it." "Sheeshh...just watch for fun. Besides, that wasn't Misteri Nusantara just now, it was just some advertisement about alternative treatment for mysterious illness that can't be cured." "Ishh...I still don't want to watch that." (Badan besar cam gajah, tapi penakut amat) You fear Allah or His other creatures?? hehehehe

Out Of Place

So out of place So out of place, Kata orang putih Chris, Kepadaku yang menulis, Coretan di malam Khamis, Yang baru dapat dipublish, Pada siangnya Jumaat, Mula-mula satu, nanti bersekutu, untuk mengurangkan 'mutu', akhirnya terus jadi satu lagi, tapi satu timbunan yang melangit. Jadi janganlah, Buang-buang sampah, Hakikatnya semua orang menyampah, Tapi semua tak nak mengalah, Untuk kutip sampah, Sedangkan cuma hanya satu sampah, Di tepi jalanan ia menyepah. *Penulis selalu mengutip sampah yang out of place. Bukan mahu berkhutbah cume betuli diri jua (Malique, Mantera Beradu) ataupon menunjuk. Jadi contoh pada yang lain. Yang baik jadikan teladan, yang buruk jadikan sempadan* hehehehe
