Mantap habis cerita.. Menurutnya, anak

Kuih Raya~ Woohoo~

Ah..today feels a bit lethargic..a bit sluggish. Even the traffics to this blog is unusually low. I guess everyone must be feeling tired after watching the parade live or staying up late at night. Nevertheless, Happy Independence Day Malaysia. Everyone else got different Merdeka stories of their own versions told on their respective blogs. Me? Well, mine is about the same. I will go on that later today. Heh. Anyway, my mom has started making biskut raya few days ago. We made Biskut Cornflakes first. Then later at night, my mom and my sister made Biskut Cornflakes Madu. And then Samprit (correct or not the spelling? =P) and just now they finished making Chocolate Chip Cookies. Not like the cookies I made. Look different. Maybe I should just show the pictures here. hehehe ~Inilah barisan cookies, yang ikhlas untuk dimakan~ I wonder if they got sing that song or not..wahahahha =P The first batch of biskut raya woohoo! - Biskut Cornflakes Biskut Cornflakes Madu . Resipi Berbuka Puasa - Apple Crumble (Yum Yum Yum)

I don't know about your side, but here in Kerteh, it's pretty hot. It's not that bright, pretty cloudy, but still hot. Maybe I'm still adapting to the weather here (ayat poyo! UWEEEKKK!) =P This kind of weather, how I wish I could have a bite on Apple Crumble. When I was in Gippsland I enjoyed having those apple cakes, apple pies served in those iftars with the other Muslims who are from India and Pakistan mostly. Sometimes my housemate, would make apple cake, and would top the cake with cream. Nice! But early this year, my housemate no longer there as he has graduated and I got this cravings for apple cake, apple pie and apple crumble. But I got to say, apple crumble is my favourite. It's easy to make, and doesn't take a lot of your time. Plus, no egg used for those of you who don't like egg. hehehe So, I thought, why not share this recipe. Who knows, you want to try something different for today's break fast. hehehe Apple Crumble Yo

Malaysian Triple K-Tan Boon Heong Didn't Make It..

Malaysia's only hope to have its first world title at the Badminton World Championship dashed as the World No. 1 men's doubles lost to China's Chai Yun Fu-Haifeng in a three sets match 21-18, 18-21, 14-21. Tough luck lads, but you did great. Didn't go down easily, you guys played, hanged on there till the end. For that, thank you and I'm proud of you. Amidst all the political strains and racial disharmony happening in Malaysia in this very Bulan Kemerdekaan, a win at the World Championship could probably get our minds off those ugly things. And for once, we could have all been united, felt proud of our men's double's achievement. Nevertheless, whether they won or not, we still should be proud of Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong for their passions, fights and also semangat Malaysia Boleh they had shown throughout the tournament. They did lose the first sets in some games but came back to win and advance to the next round. They never gave up. And they will never.

Koleksi Baju Raya =P

Few days ago, went to Kemaman to get new baju melayu for Hari Raya. hahaha..when it comes to this, I will just accept any baju as long as wearing it doesn't make me the centre of attention on that day. So, what do I have in my collection so far? =P Macam pengantin gitu. =P I don't remember this one. Hmmm My first Raya Aidilfitri away from home, 2007. In Melbourne with my friends from Melbourne Uni. How are you guys? Last year's culture night. Hehehehe. Ore to ore no imoto, Pam. But this purple baju melayu is not mine. My man Azman lent it to me. Thanks heaps man. =) But I guess I kinda like the pengantin one, though it did make me a bit 'famous' due to its glittering when exposed to light. I guess, I was once an Edward Cullen wahahahah! Ok, that's not funny. My bad. *ehem* ehem* The only complete family picture. With my Silat Cekak Hanafi gang at the end of 2006. What's up guys? =) So, this time around went to Kemaman, to this one shop at the basement level

Almond Crisp And Biskut KokoCrunch???

I've been looking for recipes on the net for the past few days now that everyone is in the mood to make some kuih raya, biskut raya. Heh. Yesterday when we were in Kuantan, got a couple of baking stuffs - butters, caster sugars, icing sugars and some other things that I don't remember. Oh, two boxes of cornflakes (or was it three?) Anyway, I'm sure we will be making it some time next week. Hehehe.. Last time when I was in Australia, I always went to myresipi.com or Auntie Liza's blog for recipes. Being away from home, and in a place not so Asian, I always chose the one that is easy and needs not that many ingredients. Anyway, at myresipi.com, there is this one user, Kak Fida, who is so active in sharing new recipes and I kinda like those recipes she shares. Not that complicated, and the ingredients are not the rare one as you can still get the ingredients listed from the supermarket in Australia. So just now I checked myresipi.com, and found a couple more recipes from h

Trabzonspor 1-2 Liverpool (1-3)

Good morning everyone! =) Great start this weekend. The Reds won their away game against Trabzonspor 2-1! Came back from one goal down and now advance to the group stage of the tournament. Alone or not, they got the job done. =P Kuyt's mistake early in the game when he lost the ball to the Turkish side caused them to concede the first goal of the match. I gotta say though, superb pass to the goalscorer and he calmly put it at the back of the net. Dang! The home side seemed to be in total control in the first half though Liverpool slowly started to get themselves into the game. As the play went on to the second half, Ngog found himself almost scoring two goals in just 5 minutes. Tough luck big guy. Joe Cole actually has been playing really well since he got in Liverpool. The passes, the attacking mindset he showed, it's almost the same as when he was in Chelsea last time, if not better. Liverpool were on offense and dominated the second half well. And finally got the two goals a

Twilight - Two Moons (LOL)

Hola~just got back from masjid. And my head is like killing me right now, but I'll survive. heh. Anyway, did you guys hear about the two moons phenomenon that will happen tonight? Well, not exactly two moons, but you will get to see Mars so close that it looks like just another moon. As a matter of fact, when me and my dad stopped by at 7E just now, my neighbour who happened to be there told us, that you can actually spot the 4th planet in the solar system behind the moon. Though I'm not really sure if that is really Mars, but I did see something behind, a bit shadowy object. A bit skeptic about it because I haven't seen any news about it on the paper. But I remember when I was small seeing a big moon. The biggest moon I've ever seen. Then again, that memory is from when I was a small kid, so cute small version of Danial Jaafar here could be exaggerating. =P My dad told me that he read somewhere that Mars will be so close to Earth tonight but if a planet is too close to

Of Longan Again =P And Some Other Stuff hehehe

hehehehe I'm happy. For the first time ever I got a buffered campaign from Nuffnang. I guess I gotta thank Mr. Darkbatman and Si Cepit for the free blogging tips. Thank you! =D And about the longan! Yes, emm what about it. Yeah, I know I already blogged about it a couple days ago , and 2 weeks ago . So this is the third entry about my longan project lol. The fruits getting bigger, riper and certainly the bats are trying to get their hands (or feet =P) on the fruits! "Leftovers" Now, I would love to finish blogging about this but I guess I just have to leave it at here with some new pics. Won't be home the whole day (it's time like this I really need a small netbook or at least a smart phone!) The longan tree. New wrapping. I like this one. I think should get more of this. p/s: I wanna make more entries about resipi kuih raya, biskut raya, but I'm not sure what kind of cookies. I know resipi biskut cornflakes and biskut kacang mazolla are the easiest I kno

Buka Puasa

Kedai Kopi Hai Peng That building in the picture is Kedai Kopi Hai Peng. Everyone knows Kedai Kopi Hai Peng. Femeh (famous) tuh. People say the coffee is nice, but to me, it's the roti kaya that got me hooked. Now, I'm just wondering, is the shop open for people to break their fast or not? heeeee XP hehehehe

Do You Know What Mental Illness Is?

Bapa sembelih anak tiga tahun - Kota Bharu Anak potong kepala ayah, bunuh datuk, nenek - Melaka. These two are just few of the many cases involving someone who is actually suffering from mental illness. And might be an old story for me to blog about too. I just feel like blogging about these stories, cases for two reasons. One, I wanna educate myself, my family, my friends and anyone who comes across this blog about mental illness. Two, I do not agree with most of the comments I read, see in the net. I gotta say, thanks to Ustaz Hasrizal better known as Ustaz Saiful Islam who is very famous and popular with his blog, Saifulislam.com. He is an ustaz alright, but he doesn't limit his responsibilities only to giving ceramah, khutbah. And probably because he's a husband to a doctor he feels that he should share the things he knows and learns from his wife if it can benefit the society. His motto, erti hidup pada memberi. Life is meaningful when you give. Saifulislam.com Do you know

Sports Update (LOL)

Morning! Though I bet not many people are awake at this hour unless you're somewhere to the east of Malaysia. Anyway, 2nd round Men's Singles of Badminton World Championship has just wrapped up. As expected, Lee Chong Wei advances to the third round after defeating fellow compatriot Hafiz Hashim 21-16, 21-16, straight set. He will be up against this player from England who won against Danes Jans O Jorgensen, a seeded playe in the tournament. Joining our world no.1 player in the third rounds - Taufik Hidayat and Lin Dan. Lin Dan got no problem sending his opponent packing back home. But Taufik surely had difficulties in his 2nd round match; getting adjusted to the courts condition, the pressure being the only Indonesian in the tournament. Apparently because the air-cond is not turned on, the heat in the stadium is kinda unbearable to some players. Taufik himself admitted still "getting adjusted to the courts conditions". But I gotta say, I like his confidence - “But I

Customers Are Not Always Right

You know I hate those people who treat waiters or anyone in the service department like trash? But it's a different story if the persons in serving you are being rude to you. Not that I am telling you that it's okay to bash and hurl all those offensive words to them just because they are rude to you. No. As I said before, don't sink too low. Anyway, got a couple of stories shared by those who experienced serving customers, who think they were right when they were absolutely at wrong. =P ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Customer: “I need oil for my car. I need the 10-40.” Me: “I’m sorry, we’re out of that.” Customer: “Well, go get some more.” Me: “I can’t just do that. I could order some for you, and it will be here in a couple of days.” Customer: “No! Just go back there!” *points to the storage room* “Get some from the tap.” Me: “The tap?” Customer: “I know that every gas station is connected to

Veterans Out, Europe Power

I'm talking about the Badminton World Championship. Though I haven't played badminton since last May, I still am passionate about the game alright. We all know, Lee Chong Wei is up against the lanky Hafiz Hashim. Let's just hope the best man win (though I hope LCW win, I'll go back on this some time this month). Anyway, I just checked the Badminton World Federations (BWF) official website and read the latest news on the tournament. Malaysian veterans, Tan Fook/Wan Wah were defeated by the Germans! Germans!? In badminton!? Shocking, man! Not only that, the former world no.1 Tony Gunawan-Howard Bach also were ousted by another European country, England in a straight set some more! WTH! The end of era I guess. But looking how things are at the moment, badminton might no longer be dominated by Malaysia and China only. The Americans (left) and the Malaysians (right). Both pairs used to dominate the major tournaments. Take the recent YOG badminton games. Both single events we
