Customers Are Not Always Right

You know I hate those people who treat waiters or anyone in the service department like trash? But it's a different story if the persons in serving you are being rude to you. Not that I am telling you that it's okay to bash and hurl all those offensive words to them just because they are rude to you. No. As I said before, don't sink too low.

Anyway, got a couple of stories shared by those who experienced serving customers, who think they were right when they were absolutely at wrong. =P

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Customer: “I need oil for my car. I need the 10-40.”

Me: “I’m sorry, we’re out of that.”

Customer: “Well, go get some more.”

Me: “I can’t just do that. I could order some for you, and it will be here in a couple of days.”

Customer: “No! Just go back there!” *points to the storage room* “Get some from the tap.”

Me: “The tap?”

Customer: “I know that every gas station is connected to the oil rigs in the North Sea!”

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Customer: “I would like to cancel my appointment for a tutor at 1:30.”

Me: “You are not booked for 1:30.”

Customer: “Oh, okay. Can I make a appointment for 1:30 then?”

Me: “Didn’t you just say you want to cancel it?”

Customer: “Don’t I need to have a appointment first to cancel it?”

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Customer: “I bought this heat gun a month and a half ago. I don’t have a receipt. I just want an exchange.”

Me: “You bought this a month and a half ago? About early June?”

Customer: “Yes. I just want an exchange.”

Me: *double checks computer* “Sir, we discontinued this almost a year ago. We sold our last one this past October.”

Customer: “Maybe it was a little longer than a month and a half…”

(Thick face sia!)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(I am scanning a customer’s order when I notice she is buying a $30 lip-gloss that is also being given away with a magazine).

Me: "Miss, if you’d like to buy [magazine] for $7.20, you get this exact lip-gloss free inside."

Customer: "But I don’t want the magazine. I just want the lip-gloss."

Me: "I understand, but even if you give the magazine away, you still get the lip-gloss for $7.20 and save $22.80."

Customer: "Do I look like a charity? I’m not going to give away a $7 magazine. Haven’t you heard of saving money?"

Me: "Well yes, what I’m saying is you can save money by buying the magazine–"

Customer: "Stop trying to rip me off and scan my lip-gloss!"

(I ring up her lip-gloss for $30 and she storms off. The next customer puts the same magazine on the counter.)

Next Customer: "I don’t want it either, but I have half a brain."

(LOL, either she's too dumb or she realised it too late and embarrassed to admit she was wrong =P)

That's all, good night~ =)

hehehehe

Reconnect: My Journey Back to Blogging

Hello, fellow travel enthusiasts and friends of Malaysian adventures! It's been an incredible journey, one that saw me take an unexpected hiatus from blogging for more than three years. Life happened (more like COVID happened) —responsibilities, changes, and personal growth—but one thing remained constant: my love for exploring the beauty and diversity of Malaysia. With power to put Dillan on my back, comes great responsibility! Today, I'm excited to announce my return to the world of  blogging. It's a bit like revisiting an old friend and reminiscing about unforgettable experiences. As I dust off my keyboard and sift through the memories of past travels, I can't wait to reconnect with all of you and share new adventures. Reflecting on the Past During my hiatus, I took the time to recharge, reflect, and embark on new journeys, both physically and emotionally. I've explored different aspects of life, including my passion for raising awareness about autism, delved de

Hang Tuah The Animation?

Woah, woah! Read this at beautifulnara about a three way agreements signed by Japanese anime studio Gonzo (Blood: The Last Vampire), Malaysian animation studio Funcel and Malaysia's National Film Development Corporation to produce Hang Tuah the animation! The protagonists....maybe? The antagonists...look so.. It sounds cool to me at first but I am being a bit skeptic about having non Malaysians to make an anime out of this legendary warriors, Hang Tuah and his friends. What more, I wonder are the voice actors gonna be Japanese too? I remember watching Silat Lagenda. That was awesome for our technology that time. But I think I shouldn't be all negative about Gonzo studio animating Hang Tuah because it's a collaboration....I think? Well, you guys can read more here and here . hehehehe
