The Things We Take For Granted

Baru-baru ni, terjadi satu insiden dalam lembaran hidupku yang membuat aku terdiam sejenak sebelum berupaya melafazkan kata-kata syukur. (perghh, skema tak ayat ini? =P) I was thinking, how different my life would have been if one of the many things that have been in my life, was not there to begin with? So, bear with me y'all. I was driving to my bro's home in Balakong, and fuel is running low so being the skema (adik-adik, skema ni perkataan bahasa Malaysia, jadinya jangan guna perkataan ini dalam karangan bahasa Inggeris ya) person I am, I made a stop at the Shell gas station next to the Nouvelle Hotel, the one located alongside the PLUS highway. All done, I started my engine. Hmmm, just some cranking sounds. Let's try again. Okay, one more time. "Repeat steps 3 more times." Aaaaand, no more sound made when I turned they key. Couldn't be the battery la. I just changed it last Raya 2013, which in case you don't remember when was it, it was in Aug...

Humans Are Still The Most Vicious. Yep, and The Kindest Too

Imagine playing basketball with your dogs or cats. Cool huh?  =P Now, this, is like 100x cooler than that! Surfing with the dolphins! You lucky humans... Source: Distractify Albeit all the fun I can't help but to replay this video I watched couple weeks ago in my head - a pod of killer whales aka Orca chasing after a boat. Now, that, is something I will, with all my heart, and ability, money whatever precious things I have at that moment, give up so that I don't get to experience that. Being chased by the killer whales. Sharks don't even chase boats and these whales, killer whales, they frigging chased the boat. And they can, literally fly....for few seconds in the air. =P You came to the wrong neighbourhood,  esé Killer whales are like the whales version of psychopath killers. Well, I might be exaggerating but that is just how I feel man. Seeing them toying with helpless seals . The creepy thing is I can sense their joy and happiness. It's like when you...

CNY's Last Day? Really?

What I saw two days ago. The next door company had them come over and performed. Pretty cool. I wonder why we never had one. Hahaha, probably because it cost a lot! XP hehehehehe

Hang Tuah The Animation?

Woah, woah! Read this at beautifulnara about a three way agreements signed by Japanese anime studio Gonzo (Blood: The Last Vampire), Malaysian animation studio Funcel and Malaysia's National Film Development Corporation to produce Hang Tuah the animation! The protagonists....maybe? The antagonists...look so.. It sounds cool to me at first but I am being a bit skeptic about having non Malaysians to make an anime out of this legendary warriors, Hang Tuah and his friends. What more, I wonder are the voice actors gonna be Japanese too? I remember watching Silat Lagenda. That was awesome for our technology that time. But I think I shouldn't be all negative about Gonzo studio animating Hang Tuah because it's a collaboration....I think? Well, you guys can read more here and here . hehehehe

Twilight - Two Moons (LOL)

Hola~just got back from masjid. And my head is like killing me right now, but I'll survive. heh. Anyway, did you guys hear about the two moons phenomenon that will happen tonight? Well, not exactly two moons, but you will get to see Mars so close that it looks like just another moon. As a matter of fact, when me and my dad stopped by at 7E just now, my neighbour who happened to be there told us, that you can actually spot the 4th planet in the solar system behind the moon. Though I'm not really sure if that is really Mars, but I did see something behind, a bit shadowy object. A bit skeptic about it because I haven't seen any news about it on the paper. But I remember when I was small seeing a big moon. The biggest moon I've ever seen. Then again, that memory is from when I was a small kid, so cute small version of Danial Jaafar here could be exaggerating. =P My dad told me that he read somewhere that Mars will be so close to Earth tonight but if a planet is too close to...

AA Battery..You Don't Know What It Is??

Woo..just watched the Semi Final Badminton Men's Singles between Malaysian Loh and a Thailand player. Loh played really well in the second set, before he got his right leg injured but he didn't give up that set. He forfeited the match during the interval of the rubber set trailing 3-10. He did good and needless to say I'm proud as a Malaysian. I hope he will make his own mark in the world stage in the future. Okay, that's not what I wanna blog about tonight. But about AA batteries. You do know what are AA batteries, don't you? Come on! I know nowadays people don't walk around listening to walkmans which in the past when I was in secondary school, still cool and uses AA batteries, most of them. And I know, cameras now come with rechargeable lithium ion batteries. Well most of them I guess. Because mine which I bought in 2007 at Morwell's DickSmith uses AA batteries! You know a digicam uses AA batteries if it has that 'big belly' coming out. When I cle...

That Thing You Do With A Bunch Of Papers Compiled Together

I don't remember when did I start reading but I sure remember reading a lot of comics than books with no pictures, drawings, or any kind of visual aids. Oh, apart from the books for kids which my mom bought for me when I was in kindergarten. During my time in primary school, I read a lot of books that use B.M. I got this collection of 5 Sekawan but now only got 1 book left out of 12? 15? And when I was doing my foundation I started to pick up reading English materials. Not too serious stuff, not too thick unless it's a biography of famous personalities. My favourite of all - Russell Lee's True Singapore Ghost Stories and I have 18 of them. Some of the books displayed. Most are kept in the cupboard. As I mentioned earlier, I read more comics than books in my childood. Hahaha. Comic is the best! =P When I got back home a month ago, I decided to clean up the room and change some stuff. So, I took out all the comics in the cupboard and sorted out the comics that gonna stay and ...

Lucid Dreaming?

Heyya guys! 'Sup? Now I wanna talk about lucid dreaming. Since I got myself in 'Stumble' I always come across websites discussing it and how you can achieve it instead of waiting for it naturally. Let me give you a bit of introduction. From The Lucidity Insititute , "lucid dreaming means dreaming while knowing that you are dreaming", in other words, you know that you are dreaming and it's not real, happening in the physical world. It can happen in the middle of the dream, or from the start of it. You know that it is just a dream from clues in the dream or you just know it without any clues. Maybe if I find myself slam dunking, it's actually a dream? Will I be able to outslam dunk Jordan in my dream? hahaha Anyway, after doing a lot of readings (online of course) on this subject, I thought, might as well give it a try huh. Oh, before I forgot, lucid dreaming doesn't mean you are given the full control of your dream. Sometimes you have little control too...

Do You Like Children? LOL

Now, I don't know if you like children or not, but we were once one of them. Some of them are cute and annoying, cute and naughty, cute and smart. It's always the combo of cute and other trait. =P One word to describe them - full of potentials. Opps, that's more than one! Anyway, I want to share this video I watched last night. It's pretty old - 23rd April 2010 if I'm not wrong. This girl, Adora Svitak is just inspirational and as one who is no longer a child/kid/boy physically (hey, I may be young at heart, who knows? =P) I think I have learned one great lesson from her talk (I believe she has more than just one thing to share with us adults) - don't underestimate them just because they are young and new to the world. We should learn from them, as much as they learn from us to be better persons, shaping a better future. And yeah, I agree with her - "when expectations are low, trust me we will sink to them". I recommend this video to you readers. Stil...

CO2 emissions, birth & death rates by country, simulated real-time

CO2 emissions, birth & death rates by country, simulated real-time I stumbled upon this cool website using the " stumbleupon " toolbar browser. What this site shows you is exactly what the photo caption above says, the carbon dioxide emissions, birth and death rates in every country in this world. How cool is that? Don't get it wrong, this real-time thing, is just simulated based from the data obtained from reliable sources; CIA Factbook and United Nations Statistics Division. So, even though the data used to display such simulation is pretty much reliable, in real life, the CO2 emissions, birth and death rates in every country might differ a bit. Whether or not what is displayed there is true, it is pretty much an indication of what's going on in this world just in case you never give a damn. Hahaha =P China is certainly the winner in every aspect. Statistic - 1 person dies every 3.7 seconds, 1 person born every 1.4 seconds (WTH??) and 1000 tonnes of CO2 released...

Awards

October has seen me won 2 awards. Me winning awards was totally out of picture last time. I didn't see it coming at all. In a way, it makes my stay in Gippsland memorable..aish, now it feels so hard to say goodbye to Gippsland when the time comes... =( Me and my friends from ISA. From left Kevin (HK), Alice (China), Pam (you guys remember her, don't you?) Greenie a.k.a Cacat! =P, Tony the president of ISA semester 2 2009 and Sugit (Indonesia). Worth coming..the meats were all HALAL!! XD I only knew I was one of the nominees on that night! And I won that award for Sports and Recreational Outstanding Volunteer Award ! Awesome~ Me and my mate John who won the Environment Outstanding Volunteer Award. After the award. Pam showing off her camwhoring skill! I won this award during Lodgies Night but I didn't go for that last event of MRS. Oh well, it feels good to be appreciated sometimes ;) The nex t day during planting session, Alan the caretaker was driving his trailer behind me...

Go Malaysia Go!

People might not know much about other national badminton players, only Lee Chong Wei, Roslin Hashim, Hafiz Hashim, Wong Choon Hann, Boon Heong-Kien Keat, Choon Ming-Wan Wah. How about the women? Yeah2, got few good players, Wong Mew Choo who won the China Open last year!! Oh yeah!! Still Im following the other players development, especially Eei Huey-Pei Tty. They never won any international tournaments despite being in finals for I dono how many times. But they did win a gold medal for Malaysia in Commonwealth games ok. And tomorrow, or will it be today? They will be in Japan's Open final against new players from China. And I absolutely, 100% behind Chong Wei when he said Malaysia need to send more youngsters to international tournament, show them how the players from other countries fare at global stage. Before this I thought Tsuen seng (eh how to spell his name..forget already..) can take over Lee Chong Wei. But looks like the lad hasnt been performing well, and now playing wi...
