Appresiasi Yang Tak Pernah Basi

Hari ini Hari Guru. Tadi aku terbilang "Hari Cikgu" dan bunyinya janggal sekali. Kata orang Kerteh, awkward. Aku gauge  aku punya kesedapan pengalaman aku berdasarkan faktor-faktor life lessons learned, kawan-kawan dan rejection, failures. Kalau aku guna faktor populariti, tentulah zaman aku montel comel tak nampak leher lagi best. Ramai peminat kata-kata gosip murahan yang sempat aku dengar. Oh, dan kalau siapa-siapa percaya dua ayat terakhir tadi sila ketawakan diri sendiri sebab anda amat naive dan gullible. Tadi cakap pasal cikgu, ni tiba-tiba cakap pasal zaman belajar. Anyway. We'll get there, my friend. Kalau sebut zaman sekolah, aku ni biasa-biasa orangnya. Did not stand out much if not for my...

Sahur - The Right Time To Feast...I think?

I don't usually eat a lot during iftar, I always have combinations of dates, water, with nestum with milo, biscuits, currypuffs; any of this whichever I feel like eating. To me, since iftar is almost close to sleeping time, it would not be wise to indulge yourself too much. Or maybe it's just me. Because 2 weeks ago when I went back to Kerteh, I had terrible stomachache the next day. I can't even count how many times have I been in the toilet. So, for me sahur is the best time to feasttt. But once in a while I do eat a lot for iftar. Just last Saturday I went for bukak puasa gathering with my high school buddies. It was the biggest turn out so far, almost 30 of us. Out of 120. hahaha, a grand reunion shall be in plan... Penceria majlis. My roommate in my last year at SESMA - the head student, Hisham KP as we fondly call him hahaha. Got back from Japan some 5 months ago. So, for today's sahur I made Udang Masak Kunyit, stir-fried cabbage, and scrambled e...

Bola Bakul or Bola Raga? =P

Raf and Fawwaz. Long time no see.  Since I have my own transport, I've started playing basketball again. I often play at Cyberjaya, there is this basketball court in the middle of food courts, restaurants, bistros. I don't know what's the name of that place but among my basketballer friends, we just call it 'Padi' because there is a restaurant next to the basketball court, named Padi. Or Padi-something. Anyway, since my long lost friend Fawwaz is back for good from the States, I thought it would be a good idea of asking him along. Though he didn't join us and just sat by the court, still jetlag.  Hmm, now that I got some moolah, I can start playing basketball again though maybe this time I will try looking for a nearer place, somewhere in Balakong. Anyone knows? hehehehe

My School Is Famous!

Ermm..pretty much for the wrong reason. =P My condolence to the deceased and his family. Anyway, my school has already been famous way before this story. Well, not that it matters, fame and reputation. What I know, the school has taught me a lot of lessons. Hardship, happiness, friendship, hard work...errr what else? =P Oh, and it transformed me, by the end of my 5 years there to a 68kg teenager who was once chubby and fat.  XP hehehehe credit to Berita Hairan, I mean Berita Harian

The Hardest Part

"Oh and yeah, that's the hardest part, that's the hardest part" To me, the hardest part would be to start doing things. It could be a totally new thing. It could be things that we used to enjoy doing all the time. Now, the hardest thing to do is to start blogging again. I have the craving to blog but I didn't blog for almost a month, and that really in a way has dampened my momentum to blog. No thanks to the mobile broadband I'm using. It was beyond slow last time. Now a bit better, but not as good as the first two months I moved in here. Still, I thought what the heck, let's blog again. I miss my blog. I miss being here, in the online world. Where people, strangers mostly, are surprisingly supportive, and kind, and friendly. But I no longer have a place to let out all of my emotions. Hahaha, worry not, not being emo just missing the good old blog I once made private, which I deleted last year  =____= Kali pertamaku ke sekolah asrama. Nak menangis ...

Even So

Last Thursday night at the masjid, while waiting for Isyak I saw this one old man in a purple baju melayu. He was wondering around, looking at other people. His behavior got me interested in him so I decided to watch what he was up to. He just stood at one corner, looking at the kids playing, and after a while he went back to the front saf, sitting very near to a group of jemaah talking among themselves. I thought that was all, he would just stay quietly and wait for the azan. But then, he turned to the group next to him, and seemed as if he was trying to join in the conversation, only that he didn't say a word. He just listened and looked at those people in the group talking. I don't know why, but I really don't like that feeling of looking at someone who seems to be lonely. Trying hard to be accepted in a group. I recalled back in high school, got a couple of really big sized/fat/chubby juniors and they always got teased and most of them got low self esteem just like ...

You Again?

Pretty sure most of you have heard, known of this movie coming some time next week. I saw a contest organised by Nuffnang where bloggers need to blog about someone they didn't like in the past, in high school or primary school perhaps. Maybe in college doing pre-U, or in university too. When I first watched the trailer, it really reminded me of a lot of my high school seniors. For those who just started reading my blog, I was once a student in a boarding school in Kuala Terengganu. 2 hours drive from my home in Kerteh. Everyone is well aware the youngest students in hostel will always get picked on. If you're fat, you would be spotted easier. LOL true story. I was one chubby, fat boy last time. You couldn't even see my neck! 12 years old So, back in my school, got this tradition sort of, students that are 2 years senior of your batch would pick on you more frequently than other seniors. I don't know why but I guess that was the way I saw it. Seniors who were 4...

Being Away From Your Family

Some people have been away for so long. Ever since primary school. Some since sec school. Some only after high school. But the thought of leaving your family is pretty much..scary? Like you wonder will I see them again? I've been living quite far away from my family since form 1, 13 years old. It was pretty sad. Luckily I wasn't the only one feeling that. I know got some friends who cried alone, at night, on his bed. Some cried while talking on the phone. Me? I tried holding back from tearing up the first few weeks whenever I made a phone call. Hahaha, pretty embarrassing. =P But as I grow old, I get used to this already. But the thought is still there. That's why sometimes I feel a bit reluctant to travel. Really troublesome. Ma fan. LOL What's your story? hehehehe

HARHARHAR!! FINALLY

I know I did talk about eating healthy diet and all, but I haven't had Ramly burger since I got back from Australia. So just now when I went out, I saw the burger stall next to Shell Kerteh. What did I order? Burger Ayam Special It was pretty light. I thought I was cheated. Almost there... Jeng jeng jeng!! It was pretty okay for my first Ramly burger for a price of RM2.90. At this time, I really want to go back to my old school SESMA in KT to have a bite on that famous burger we always bought from the seniors and friends who often went 'fly'. Hehehe, 'fly' is a term referring to student's illegal outing, usually at night, by climbing over the wall, fence, or crawling out through holes made on the fence. =P Ah~ that was a good dinner. hehehehe

Nowadays

I read my cousin, Kak Ja's blog yesterday, and read her story of what happened in her class. She's a secondary school Math teacher. So yeah, we all know generally Math teachers are strict and scary LOL. But reading her story, I think she was being nice, it's Ramadhan afterall. Maybe you guys should go and have a read on her story here . This is the photo for English Language Society (ELS). I bet you guys can spot me. Hahah I have a fair bit of story to share when it comes to this kind of incident. I know I wasn't the best mannered student in school last time, but I still know the line. Though there was this one time when I was caught not paying attention during Biology class. Cikgu Zainuddin, my class biology teacher was discussing the test papers we just got back from him. I was sitting at the front row somemore but at one point during the class, I looked at my friends at the back, and was playing around. Well, that was stupid and rude considering the teacher was talk...
