Music Video of the Week!

I used to have this segment called "Music Video of the Week". Back then I was pretty active and quite addicted to blogging. So, I noticed many bloggers have certain segments, special days where they would be blogging about something, like Wordless Wednesday, Monday Jokes. I thought why not Music Video of the Week. Now, I gotta confess my list of favourite songs is pretty weird-combinations of many music genres. Like I mentioned in my previous post, to me the genre of a song does not matter much, just the lyric. If it is beautifully written, I'd appreciate it more than a catchy song with no substance.

Anyway, this song by brother Mo Sabri has made itself home inside my head for weeks now. The song is catchy no doubt (at least to me it is) but wait till you hear the lines. So, this week Imma share this music video, "Heaven Is Where Her Heart Is".

ps: Oh, and he was actually so nice to reply to my tweets and RT 'em. I wasn't expecting one because I thought I should just let him know that his songs are good, and the guy is the real deal!

Lyrics:

Verse 1:
You could be my Aisha, always being righteous
Need you in my life, yup, you could be my wife, yup
They say love is a battle, you know that I'll be your fighter
Destination Heaven, you're my weapon in this cypher
But I'm just a writer...I speak truly
My heart is on fire, "spittin" ayahs about beauty
Let me do my duty, I could be your husband
I could be the one that you could always put your trust in
When it comes to loving, I'll give you everything
They say I'm a King so I'll treat you like a Queen
Every day when you wake up I'll be the man of your dreams
You could be my other half and we could stay up on our Deen
Whenever you want, we can go to Umrah
Hop up on a jet,...just to go to Jummah
We could live the good life, I'm talking about the Sunnah
And when I write this music, I do it for my Ummah

Chorus:
She tells the truth, she's honest
She's humble and she's modest
Her speech is the softest
Because Heaven is where her heart is

Verse 2:
Heaven's citizen, she's so innocent
Focused on the Lord, so no need for the Ritalin
Haters say she's different, but she does not belittle them
Her patience is a riddle and it leaves them in bewilderment
She got soul, yeah, she got spirit
And she's God-fearing, hear it in my lyrics
I got the feeling, hands up to the ceiling
She never does wrong, but still wants to be forgiven
Yeah, she got class
Life is a test and she just wants to pass
She don't want the money, the cars, or the cash
She just wants a man who will keep her on the straight path
Forget the numbers, I rap for the Ajr
One day you'll be the one that will wake me up for Fajr
Significant other, wife, my children's mother
My last name is Sabr
Be patient, one day i'll be your cover

Chorus

Want Some Hotdog?

WAHAHAHA!! I laughed when I first see this picture! I don't know whether to laugh at the spelling, or the prices set at that stall. Well, that's pretty mean of me. But it is a good laugh alright. The girlfriend sent me this picture. Before that she asked me, what's the spelling of hotdog in Malay. I said, not that I know of, just write 'hotdog'. Then she sent me the picture. The caption for this picture : "Don't know whose fault, the Malay teacher or the Math teacher?" Maybe it's just another marketing strategy. You know, when people ask, where did you get this? From hokdok stall over there. Brilliant plan on promoting it but fail miserably with the price. How to get profit like this LOL From the way it has been converted to Malay, I reckon the picture at the top was taken in Terengganu. You see, hot=hok. In Terengganu words that end with 't' always sound like 'k'. Example, sesat (lost) = sesak, pekat (thick) = pekak. But pekak (dea...

Koleksi Baju Raya =P

Few days ago, went to Kemaman to get new baju melayu for Hari Raya. hahaha..when it comes to this, I will just accept any baju as long as wearing it doesn't make me the centre of attention on that day. So, what do I have in my collection so far? =P Macam pengantin gitu. =P I don't remember this one. Hmmm My first Raya Aidilfitri away from home, 2007. In Melbourne with my friends from Melbourne Uni. How are you guys? Last year's culture night. Hehehehe. Ore to ore no imoto, Pam. But this purple baju melayu is not mine. My man Azman lent it to me. Thanks heaps man. =) But I guess I kinda like the pengantin one, though it did make me a bit 'famous' due to its glittering when exposed to light. I guess, I was once an Edward Cullen wahahahah! Ok, that's not funny. My bad. *ehem* ehem* The only complete family picture. With my Silat Cekak Hanafi gang at the end of 2006. What's up guys? =) So, this time around went to Kemaman, to this one shop at the basement level ...

Early Surprise

Last night, I was online surfing the net, blogging, chatting with some friends, and then the girlfriend came online on Skype. Woohoo~ Some excerpts from our early conversation Me: did u go see my blog Me: been active today wahwahaw Her: omg bii, we had super super big magical connection i tell you Her: but i cant tell u now. you'll know eventually Her: unless you can guess it. hahahahahaahaah I was like "what?" I kept on guessing and guessing and guessing but none of my guess was right! And the girl loves torturing me, seeing me all worked up trying to guess what did she mean by "super big magical connection". We always say how we have this magical connection in situations like - - picking up the phone when suddenly a message or a call comes in from her or me - went online on Skype at the same time Got other examples but I don't wanna kill the readers here with the cheesiness and mushiness... =P Anyway, she gave few clues, that I mentioned it in my blog post...
