I sort of get it why Malaysian Malay students who go oversea to study tend to stick together when they leave Malaysia. Partly because of the food.
Though I have been here for 3 years and a few months, only now I am feeling the frustrations of not having Halal food in any event organised by associations and friends. Could be due to the complaints from the Malay guys. Could be my being fed-up having to explain what is Halal. If the latter is true, that means I'm pretty much have given up to let people know about Islam and Halal?
If that's so, shame on me.
I shouldn't be fed up. I shouldn't be tired of explaining the same thing over and over again even though I have to do so to the same people. I shouldn't be tired of smiling and declining foods that are not Halal.
Why must it be HALAL?
Because I am what I eat!
ok that sounds a bit weird?
but you know what I mean hehehehe
