Why?
Cos I managed to revive my Compaq Presario V3000 which was bought in February 2007. It was 'declared dead' by the computer guy in Morwell. Told me that the motherboard crashed and will cost me almost the same price as the laptop itself to get it fixed. Felt really down, and a bit of remorse that time because...you know, I got anger management problem LOL. I used to just wham my laptops, PCs whenever I got stressed everytime I played Pro Evolution Soccer 6 (this was long time ago..). So, I believe what happened to this Compaq Presario V3000 of mine is partly because of the..hittings? =P
Anyway back to the story. Because I got a bit of problem with my HP nc8000 *ehem ehem* so I thought I might have my luck with the Compaq one. Get the harddisk, and see if it's compatible with the nc8000. That was the plan. But the Compaq is still looking good, and I didn't have the guts to rip it open. So I thought, what the heck, it has been two years, maybe someone has come up with one or two solutions for this problem?
Googled it, there! Hundreds, if not thousands of people had or still have the same problem I had with the Compaq Presario V3000. Oh, forgot to explain what is the problem........................................................
The laptop cannot be freaking boot!!! You press the power button, the lights are all on...yet nothing on the screen!!
Okay, these are the solutions that I tried
-Disconnect the back up battery which is located near the hard disk.
-Hold the laptop up high, to let the air in the ventilation, and blow in some cold air.LOL
And then I saw the COMPAQ logo!!! OMG!!
Now I am using the Compaq Presario V3000. It is so awesome than the other one.
Much lighter, bluetooth integrated, built-in card reader and the design is better too.
Not long after that, I found my Olympus FE-210 in the wardrobe, under a pile of clothes!! Now all the gadgets I used in my first year in Gippsland are back! First year was great, so maybe with the comebacks of these two important stuffs, the year 2010 will be a promising year for me!! Amin.. =)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In my house, there are 3 non working gadgets - 2 laptops and 1 digicam.
The dysfunctional Olympus Stylus 760. The lens stuck there. The probable causes found in the internet - sand got stuck somewhere there =_=" Use compressed air to remove the small particles blocking the lense.
My dad's old Compaq Presario V2000. Before, we all thought the LCD is not working. Following the instructions in the internet, I discovered the real culprit was the inverter, not the LCD because you can still see something, just that it is very very dim. I used the torchlight and I can see the desktop, the icons. Might cost $8 for a new inverter.
The normal PC. According to my bros because the graphic card of this PC doesn't have fan, that's why sometimes the PC just shuts down by itself. But other than that, this machine is fine.
This one is the gaming PC..used by my bros Adib and Adik. They play Counter Strike most of the time, and sometimes DOTA. I use this PC to play Pro Evolution Soccer! =P
The power of Internet..you can do almost everything! Just don't do something stupid that can get yourself caught by the authority -police, ISA, FBI, CIA.
LOL
