Man killed by gang recruiting his son

KUALA LUMPUR: A 62-year-old man was hacked to death in Ampang Jaya on Saturday night in a fight with four thugs who were trying to force his son into joining their gang.

The victim died on the spot at a unit on the sixth floor of the Permai Ria flats in Ampang Tasik Permai about 10pm.

Although the victim’s 22-year-old son was unhurt, his other son, 34, was seriously injured while trying to defend his father.

Ampang Jaya police chief ACP Abdul Jalil Hassan declined to give the name of the victim and his family.

He said one of the thugs was also assaulted by neighbours before he was rescued by his accomplices, who then fled in a car.

Abdul Jalil said prior to the incident, the thugs had gone to the flat armed with machetes and threatened the son into joining the gang.

However, the father objected to their demands, which led to a fight. — Bernama

I can see Malaysia is becoming more and more like U.S. This is only one of the many tragic news involving violence, drugs, gang fights, juvenile crimes, not to forget cases of babies being dumped. Still got more to list down, but that's enough I reckon. A supposedly Muslim country with these problems. Fuh~ Those who want to be good parents will be facing more, and tougher jobs in the future.

My apology if this post sounds depressing because I am depressed thinking about this sort of thing. As much as I find my dad telling stories of his childhood boring because we've been listening to it over and over again, I want the kids nowadays, and in the future to have that kind of childhood my dad, and my mom had. And like your parents did too. Go anywhere they want, and no need to be afraid of kidnappers, perverts.

Well, time changes the way things are. And the people in it, too have changed, and will keep on changing.

Reconnect: My Journey Back to Blogging

Hello, fellow travel enthusiasts and friends of Malaysian adventures! It's been an incredible journey, one that saw me take an unexpected hiatus from blogging for more than three years. Life happened (more like COVID happened) —responsibilities, changes, and personal growth—but one thing remained constant: my love for exploring the beauty and diversity of Malaysia. With power to put Dillan on my back, comes great responsibility! Today, I'm excited to announce my return to the world of  blogging. It's a bit like revisiting an old friend and reminiscing about unforgettable experiences. As I dust off my keyboard and sift through the memories of past travels, I can't wait to reconnect with all of you and share new adventures. Reflecting on the Past During my hiatus, I took the time to recharge, reflect, and embark on new journeys, both physically and emotionally. I've explored different aspects of life, including my passion for raising awareness about autism, delved de

Hang Tuah The Animation?

Woah, woah! Read this at beautifulnara about a three way agreements signed by Japanese anime studio Gonzo (Blood: The Last Vampire), Malaysian animation studio Funcel and Malaysia's National Film Development Corporation to produce Hang Tuah the animation! The protagonists....maybe? The antagonists...look so.. It sounds cool to me at first but I am being a bit skeptic about having non Malaysians to make an anime out of this legendary warriors, Hang Tuah and his friends. What more, I wonder are the voice actors gonna be Japanese too? I remember watching Silat Lagenda. That was awesome for our technology that time. But I think I shouldn't be all negative about Gonzo studio animating Hang Tuah because it's a collaboration....I think? Well, you guys can read more here and here . hehehehe
