A Walk To Remember

Have you guys watched the movie? No, no, I watched it long time ago. Was alright. I love the song, Only Hope by Switchfoot but I don't really like the Mandy Moore version. =P Based on Nicholas Spark's best selling novel, A Walk To Remember I'm not into chick flick, and I believe this movie is one of the many chick flicks there are on this planet. But I guess it was my first time watching this kind of movie with a sad ending, well sad to me as the guy didn't get to live with the girl she loves. I guess this movie sort of hit the soft side of me LOL I believe everyone has his/her walk to remember. Now, I'm not gonna talk about love and relationship stuff, so you guys can think of other significant walk you've taken so far. How many of us remember the first time they walk? How about the time when you walk with your parents to school for the first time? Or to a park, beach? At the family theme park? Maybe even the time you spent walking with your siblings to pasar m

WOW! My blog post made it in Google's top list!!

Serious? Seriously, like totally! Ahaks! =P Okay, okay, I know hundreds of people have already done that, been there. But for me, it's my first time huahauhaua!! I came across this blog just few minutes ago because I was taking a break from studying. I thought of going for a walk..blogwalking =P. Anyway, this blog owner found out one of his posts is in Google's top list. http://caseyhouse.blogspot.com So I was like, hmm shall I give it a try then. Who knows, one of my posts also made it in Google's top list. I keyed in words that are related to my posts that got comments and I reckon are popular LOL. I tried "durian, woolworths" - negative, "horatio puns" - negative and my third try, "basketball kemaman", and here it is people - WAAA kakoi yo! XD Yeah I know it's no biggie, but I'm just excited! HUAHAUHAUHAUHA!!! hehehehe

Contests

It's not a new thing, living on the prizes won in contests/competitions. I read about it in newspaper few years back about this pakcik. He has won a lot of stuffs and of course, not all the prizes he got could be used so he sold some. He once sold a holiday tour tickets to a couple for honeymoon. How I wish I could just sit down and concentrate on any contest that I want to take part in. Like the Milo Fuze contest, at the end I didn't submit any entry. WTH?!?! Recently I went over to hakimfaridzul.blogspot.com, and found out about this design your dream bedroom contest by IKEA. The money prize sure is tempting enough RM2000 of IKEA gift voucher, but because the work involves designing which requires creativity, my brain just sent multiple signals to be turned off. http://www.hakimfaridzul.blogspot.com Just in case any of you guys who are reading my blog is interested, go over IKEA for more details. and don't forget to buy some stuff from IKEA for me if you do win.. hehehe

It All Started

May 2005. I started blogging. It was just after SPM results were released. I got kinda bored, not to mention bigger as well. LOL My first post was "How to serve like the great Sampras" Honestly, I didn't have any idea how to blog, or what to blog. Anyhow only. But it has turned out to be okay now. Oh and my first blog is the Friendster blog. Man, Friendster was the hype that time. I started when I was in Form 4 2003. My last post there on my Friendster blog was July 2007. Since then I've been using blogspot. Why I am telling you all about this? Last Thursday I had my first basketball tournament in Morwell. I always have trouble performing my best whenever I am in an official match. And I thought of reading back the post I made on my Friendster blog years back which was about how I sucked throughout the competition. Not good, reading it back made me all nervous again. Could be God's way of motivating me, I saw three comments and there I saw this long, lengthy but m

Mundane

Remember the durians I was talking about few posts back? LOL Well, I thought nobody would buy them. How wrong I was... For all I know, the Malay families could have bought them! Wahahahaha! Or probably other Malaysians or Singaporeans or South East Asians LOL. Man, they should put more durians on the shelves. And also a big cleaver. A very big one. hehehehehhe

Cool/Funny Pics

Yoyoyo!! Am back with Thursday's Cool/Funny Pics! Ok, let's see what I've got so far. WTH?!?! New facial treatment? Well, not many this time. Only 3. Maybe because I still haven't got over the Horatio puns! So few days ago, I was looking for any funny videos of Horatio Caine of CSI:Miami, and sure enough, I found one which is not funny actually. It's a compilation of Horatio's one liner followed by his sunglasses pose. And the CSI:Miami's opening "Yeaah!!" LOL

Finally!

Oh! I have finished two chapters already!! Still got a long way to go, but my exam will be in June, mid June, so should be alright. HOHOHOHO! I thought of going for a run this morning as I did on Monday, but I changed my running plan to walking plan. And then from walking plan to sleeping plan because it rained. =P Though I did see double rainbows. Not sure if you guys can see the rainbows or not Most of my friends know I'm into Japanese stuffs. Well, I'm not an otaku, I just love learning new languages. I want to be able to speak Japanese, Cantonese fluently. Anyway, last night I tried making okonomiyaki and it turned out good. Just that it somehow reminds me of cucur goreng. Except that for cucur goreng, you deep fry it, no? And to make okonomiyaki, you have to spread the batter evenly on the pan, and wait for quite some time until the bottom is brown-ish or cooked, before you turn it over the other side. My irregular-shaped okonomiyaki =P Supposed to be circle, I think? Bef

What's New?

My student card is new! Wahahahahaha!! Was about to borrow a book when I just noticed my student card expired on the 31/3/2010. Lucky the card's renewal is for free. Oh, but the photo is still the same one taken in my first year. Hohohoho.. Big smile on the face Oh, I came across these pictures of a Lego otaku. Now you definitely can see the difference between kids wanting to play Lego and get almost all the pieces gone/lost/disappeared *pooff* and a hard core Lego guy!! Awesome, no?

Onna otoko?

It means something like drag queen/pondan bapok. Well, I'm referring to this new and disturbing fashion trend in Japan. Looks like the Japanese boys are into wearing skirts now. Yeah, nothing wrong with your eyesight, and it's not a typo. Apparently these trends are famous now in Harajuku and Aoyama. I don't know anything about Aoyama but I do know if you go dress your best in Harajuku, you still look like country bumpkins LOL Here is the long skirt boy. Well, he does look like a girl anyway. There are different kind of skirts; long, short, but I believe it won't be as short as the girls' skirts. Anyway I thought the boys can just get the skirts from any store selling school uniform. Heck, most of these boys go for the famous ones which costs almost $200 each. Looks like Japan's birthrate is doomed to decline.... =P [ BIONICBONG ]

Make Up For Thursday's Cool/Funny Pics

I don't know how many of you guys watch CSI, CSI:Miami, but if you're a fan of CSI, you ought to like Horatio and Grissom from CSI:Miami and CSI respectively. Though Horatio is more famous among the fans because of his cool and calm demeanor. What does CSI have to do with the Thursday's Cool/Funny Pics, you ask? Well, I came across these funny Horation puns and they are so funny I thought of sharing them. Though few are not suitable to be posted up in my blog, I reckon. Anyway, here goes. Oh, for those who don't watch CSI:Miami, usually before the opening credit song is played, there will be a scene where Horatio is informed about the case the team has to work on, and he will say something legendary LOL because it will be quoted. And right after that, the opening song will play "YEAAAAHHH!!" =P

Jer-awww-what?

WARNING: a totally random, rubbish-to-some-readers-post created as a result of ideas, inspirations flooding in the head of the blog's owner Jer-awww-what. I mean, jerawat, pimple. These words refer to the same thing no? The tiny red bud that sometimes just comes out of nowhere on your pretty face (in my case, my macho face huahauhauaha!). I sometimes got pimple at the tip of my nose, just next to my nostril, on my forehead, and on the temple. Now, I have one just on the left side of my upper lip, right at where the moustache grows. As I was just doing nothing but looking, observing that one pimple just now, I realised no hair grows surrounding that pimple. So I thought of looking at the moustache on the right side. "Eh there's no hair growing at that area as well", and I am pretty sure it is the same site where I have the pimple only on different side. My hypothesis, pimple's effect on one side of the body will be experienced by the mirror image of that same place

Halal?

I sort of get it why Malaysian Malay students who go oversea to study tend to stick together when they leave Malaysia. Partly because of the food. Though I have been here for 3 years and a few months, only now I am feeling the frustrations of not having Halal food in any event organised by associations and friends. Could be due to the complaints from the Malay guys. Could be my being fed-up having to explain what is Halal. If the latter is true, that means I'm pretty much have given up to let people know about Islam and Halal? If that's so, shame on me. I shouldn't be fed up. I shouldn't be tired of explaining the same thing over and over again even though I have to do so to the same people. I shouldn't be tired of smiling and declining foods that are not Halal. Why must it be HALAL? Because I am what I eat! ok that sounds a bit weird? but you know what I mean hehehehe
Who are these people? Look familiar... The girlfriend sent few pictures of her gown day to Berita Harian Singapura and this one got picked to be published. How cool is that? This pic was taken last year in June. All the people in the pictures are my uni friends. I wonder how are they doing.. It says there, that she is penolong penerbit. Hahaha how proud I am to see that. Though she keeps brushing it off saying she doesn't like to be in that kind of work line. See, she wants to be a photojournalist and I must say that suits her, taking pics and stuff. She is so into taking pictures and wants to get her hands on Nikon D90. I wish her all the best LOL One of the pictures she took which I love. How Melbourne looks like at night. *rabu rabu in the air* XD

Productive Day =P

Hahaha So much for productive day. I didn't go to my lecture, instead I went to library. Now I feel like going to the library if I want to study! OH YEAH!!! After an hour or so in library I headed to the Students Lounge. Happened to be a ping pong tournament so I just joined for the fun of it. I played against Pam in my first match, and I won 11-7 LOL. And I lost the next 3 matches before I got my second win. So out of 5 games, I won only 2 hence didn't get to the final match. But it was good fun. Now, I'm gonna cook. Nasi goreng anyone? =P

My Family

After I got back from badminton, Adik messaged me on Skype, asking on behalf of my mom (LOL) why I haven't called home. I remember the last time I called her was 2 weeks ago, after I handed in my visa application. So I checked my Skype credit, and called. I can't use my handphone really, as I left my phone charger at Amir's place. =_=" And I talked to Abah. Mak wasn't available that time maybe next time I got to talk to her. Anyway, Mak was just concerned whether I go to class or have I been studying well or not. I must say, I study almost everyday, but what I do is just reading, so not really intense studying. And I told my dad not to worry, and I still got my allowance and all. We talked about my brothers, and sister. How they've been doing, and of course a bit of gossip. Guys got their own kind of gossips just so you know. =P I kinda miss being home. I have always looked forward to another trip with all of us during a break. Last year was the best. My whole
It feels good in a way to be all depressed. I miss that feeling LOL Okay, so I had awesome weekend! BBQ with the Churchill families at Sale, reminiscing the good old time with Sugit as he came here yesterday to see his old mates. Man, good, great time! XD BBQ at Abang Zainal's Abang Zainal and Nabil doing the job. Lamb, beef and chicken sausages. The feast. We have our very own barber - Mr. Nabil. Got back pretty late as we were really into telling ghost stories, talking, discussing about the stuffs in Malaysia. And the world. Well, pretty much kopitiam talk. Sugit In Gippsland Sugit, he looks like Afgan. Check out Afgan's MV Wajahmu Mengalihkan Duniaku. If you guys remember my man Semun, and Dicky. LOL I made the one at the left. It is the Baked Macaroni or something like that. After dessert...man, damn full.. Played pingpong, pool, and watched Shutter Island. Pretty twisted movie, but good in a wicked way. =P Sugit leaving Gippsland. See you again Git!

How Your Maggi Mee Looks Like?

The first time I had Maggi Mee (that I remember of) was when I was a really little kid, 5 years old?. My auntie who I fondly call Che'in (cik in) made a curry flavoured Maggie Mee for me. I remember it was a bit dry, and a bit red because she added some chilli sauce, with egg boiled with the noodles. It was awesome. Till this day, if I am having curry flavoured Maggi, I will remember that first Maggi I had. But my favourite is Maggi Mee Ayam. LOL Got that right! And there are many different ways of preparing it. Some people like to put the seasoning first, then the noodle, some the noodle first followed by the seasoning. The debate does not revolve around that only, it goes to fried eggs or boiled eggs are better, and some may argue that Maggi Mee is fine by itself while others will claim it is such a blasphemy of Maggi to not have egg at least. Because some people like it with sausage, vegetables, you know so that it looks something like the Maggi advertised. Either way, this whol

Oh It's Thursday Right?

Yo! More cools and funny pics. It's Thursday and still no class. This coming Monday class will continue as usual. Anyway, have a look at the cool pics for this week. Oriental yeti. This creature caught in China has been claimed to be a new species of bear. It is hairless, has the voice of a cat and tail like a kangaroo. For now, it is known to be as a Oriental Yeti. One of the hunters said there is a local legend about a bear-man; a bear which used to be a man. Some kind of curse maybe? Good thing we have DNA test to confirm whether it is a bear-man or a new species of marsupials/bears? For all we know, it might be one of the tortured animals, hunted for furs in China.... Epic fail...in the real world or in the Star War's world. Either world, the answer is an epic fail! You'll see this not pumpkin anymore comes Halloween. Engrish. I know you guys might have seen this kind of funny pics before. You know, the direct translation of English from Malay, Mandarin, Korean, Japanes
