Ramadhan Buffet

Ah, so we went to the buffet, a last minute decision it was. At first when Abah called the hotel, they said it was fully booked. Hafiz seemed a bit disappointed hehehe. Then Abah called home few minutes after his first call. Someone just cancelled their bookings! Lucky brat. =P

You can call me jakun, kampung boy, but that was the first time I saw that many foods this Ramadhan. All foods laid out in front of me. Totally different than the buffet the hotel has when it's not Ramadhan. Though I'm pretty sure things are much grandiose in place like Putrajaya, Sunway, those big cities.

Quite efficient, on such a short notice they could prepare this. Then again, how hard could it be typing three words on that piece of paper and printing it.

The canopy sheltering those food stalls and buffet. It was indeed packed. Mostly with Petronas staffs.

The boy was excited!

Seems like the big boys were excited too. =P

There were so many stalls and this was just one of those stalls. You see, I was pretty malu already taking pictures so I only got this one. I need to be more thick faced.

Less than a minute, the table was full. Okay, I bluffed, it took us quite a while since we had a hard time deciding what to have. Indecisiveness runs in the family =P

The bro just got something from the stall.

Almost Maghrib but people still queuing up to get food.

Getting darker.

Everyone else went to pray while I stayed back with Hafiz who was still busy working his way on the lamb chop with black pepper sauce. He just loved it. He even licked his fingers after that. Gross. XP

Last photo before we left.

Crazy night y'all. Throughout the Isyak prayer in the masjid I kept on burping. Really paiseh already. Damn la. I hope my old neighbour didn't notice the smell of black pepper sauce, ayam percik when we talked just now after Isyak..

=___="

Though I wonder what happen to the leftovers? Do these caterers give those away to the staffs and kitchen helpers? Or to charity? Or down the drain?
I thank God that at least in this beloved country Malaysia, most of us don't face any food shortage problems. Food is readily available. Just need to work for it. Then again, are we really really blessed to have all these foods?

Quite a heavy meal for breakfast, I know but thats pretty common in Penang, regardless of your colour skin. If you are a Penangite, you cant care less if its heavy or not. What you know is the food is gonna last you until lunch hour for another round of nasi kandaq or maybe some other meals.. Reconnect: My Journey Back to Blogging

Hello, fellow travel enthusiasts and friends of Malaysian adventures! It's been an incredible journey, one that saw me take an unexpected hiatus from blogging for more than three years. Life happened (more like COVID happened) —responsibilities, changes, and personal growth—but one thing remained constant: my love for exploring the beauty and diversity of Malaysia. With power to put Dillan on my back, comes great responsibility! Today, I'm excited to announce my return to the world of  blogging. It's a bit like revisiting an old friend and reminiscing about unforgettable experiences. As I dust off my keyboard and sift through the memories of past travels, I can't wait to reconnect with all of you and share new adventures. Reflecting on the Past During my hiatus, I took the time to recharge, reflect, and embark on new journeys, both physically and emotionally. I've explored different aspects of life, including my passion for raising awareness about autism, delved de

Hang Tuah The Animation?

Woah, woah! Read this at beautifulnara about a three way agreements signed by Japanese anime studio Gonzo (Blood: The Last Vampire), Malaysian animation studio Funcel and Malaysia's National Film Development Corporation to produce Hang Tuah the animation! The protagonists....maybe? The antagonists...look so.. It sounds cool to me at first but I am being a bit skeptic about having non Malaysians to make an anime out of this legendary warriors, Hang Tuah and his friends. What more, I wonder are the voice actors gonna be Japanese too? I remember watching Silat Lagenda. That was awesome for our technology that time. But I think I shouldn't be all negative about Gonzo studio animating Hang Tuah because it's a collaboration....I think? Well, you guys can read more here and here . hehehehe
